1. Make It Easy

So make it as easy as possible for yourself by making as many templates and frameworks as you can. I like to do something called Content Buckets,  I will have between 3 and 5  different content types that I post out. For example I will post different buckets each day, Wednesday will be one type of bucket Tuesday will be a different type of bucket and those buckets could be anything, they could educational, content, promotional content, inspirational content, behind the scenes content, memes content. Basically look at your target audience. You may want to have a look at last weeks blog where I talked about how to market on social media if you hate social media as these two blogs compliment each other. So I want you to create templates and frameworks in the form of buckets, you could go an extra layer deep with this and actually create picture templates that you can go in and change up every week.

For example one of your content buckets could be a quote post and maybe you post that on a Thursday or a Friday. Go into Canva and create 5 template posts for you to use, were all you need to do is just change the text.

So make some content buckets guys, if you post 5 times a week. create 5 content buckets, 3 times per week make 3 content buckets. Just make sure your content bucket type works for your target audience.

Instead of thinking about posting on social media, or you're feeling a bit overwhelmed creating all of the different posts. Instead focus on filling your buckets rather than posting on social media, this can feel so much less overwhelming than finding something to post on social media today. Focus as much as you can on filling those buckets, that's why I'm talking about making this super easy, make templates, create frameworks and focus on filling those content buckets.

Before I continue I need to just tell you about my Social Media Power Pack. In this power pack I have some amazing content ideas for you as well as a little mini course showing you how to audit your own social media and 12 months worth of social media prompts and ideas. You can grab your own copy of that for under £20 on my website. It's a great little investment.

2. Repurpose and Reuse

Reuse and repurpose your longer form content into shorter content. A good example of this is one of my weekly videos, which I would call a long form piece of content a bit like a blog post, but what you would actually do is cut down the points and repurpose those into reels and YouTube shorts. So you are not having to create a video, then a blog post and then an other bit of content. All you are doing is creating one long form piece of content, it could be a video, it could be a blog post or it could just be a really long caption and you are actually repurposing that into short bits of content.

One thing I will say about this is that people digest content at different times and in different ways. So you might post your video or blog post out to the world and it might not get as much love as you had hoped or people might not individually read or digest the points that you are trying to get across. So that is why we tend to chop up our longer form content into little digestible bite sized snippets. That forms our content strategy without having to put more work into it.

You can also repost older content that worked, especially on somewhere like Instagram where you are posting using a really popular hashtag, you refresh the screen and your post is just gone. Actually when you are doing a repost of older content that worked really well you are doing a really good service to your customers and bringing it back up to their attention. This is something we do and all our really good posts that our target market really love, we just take a quick screen shot of these and save them in a folder and we end up with a folder of content that we can reuse and fill gaps if you need to.

3. Schedule One Month Ahead

Schedule one month a head at a time, if you check out the blog post about how to market when you hate social media, I talk about scheduling for a longer period of time, up to 12 months for those guys who really don't like to be on social media, schedule for longer in advance. If you're ok on social media schedule for one month ahead at a time and focus on evergreen content that won't change very much. What I see quite a lot of is, people post content that maybe out of date by the time it gets out there.

So focus on evergreen content that

A) you can repurpose into short form content

B) you can repost when you need to fill a gap.

Me personally, I love to talk more about evergreen content. I will film videos that are likely to get out of date closer to the time but this blog post and video where I know the advice is going to be valid for at least 6 months to a year I will do these ahead of time, this makes sure I have stuff going out all of the time and also I feel like a lot f you guys are thinking well Steph sometimes I am feeling more creative, I feel more like I want to be front facing in my business more times than others.

These tips will help you batch create those posts and batch create your social media marketing strategy and actually create the posts themselves, in that time when you are feeling more productive.
