In today's blog post, I'm talking about your target market's pain points.
I don't know what pain point my target market has
I get asked a lot about customers pain points as many handmade business owners don't know what pain points their target audience has.
But, if pain point is too confusing, think of it as an annoyance point, an inconvenience point, or a gap in the market. Think of what bugs your target market every day or multiple times a week. It could also be something that your target market yearns for or wants in their lives.
Real talk: Your customer would not even think about buying your product if it doesn't solve a problem for them or helps them in some way.
For example, if you sell enamel pins you may be wondering how on earth you solve a pain point. But, your target audience may be a little different. They are loud and proud and are people who don't want to look like other people.
They are not your average person. There are lots of things in our lives that are boring and mundane (especially if you have to wear a uniform to work, or you have to conform to certain rules which strips away your personality. Your target market wants a little bit of THEM with them wherever they go. Even if it's just on their coat or lunch bag as they head for their lunch break. THIS is their pain point.
You are enabling someone to be their true selves and to stand out in the world in a completely unique, personalisable and custom way.
